Spray paint a acrylic on found wood

First new painting for 2024. Finally got into this rad salvaged wood panel that my brother-in-law hooked up for me – adding some contrast to the substrate. The work will be on view beginning this weekend at FOUR DECADES: PCCA Faculty + Alumni Exhibition.

I was fortunate to have been a part of PCCA. The creative focus and facility of the program really helped shape my path as an artist. Can’t wait to see this exhibition. Details below:

FOUR DECADES: PCCA Faculty + Alumni Exhibition
opening reception on Saturday, January 13th, 5pm to 8pm

In August 1984, the Pinellas County school district opened the Pinellas County Center for the Arts at Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg. A magnet program for artistically talented students, PCCA has fostered the talents of countless students who have gone on to do big things in the areas of dance, music, theater and the visual arts.

This exhibition celebrates the major contribution the Visual Arts program at PCCA has made to the art world, and specifically, to our community. In 2024, the Morean will host exhibitions featuring PCCA alumni, faculty and current students.  These parts will work together to highlight the past, present and future of the program.
